MADISON SCHUMMER
Hello! My name is Madison Schummer, and I graduated from Perkiomen Valley High School. I like to go by Madi. I love absolutely love singing and dancing. I also love to share my sense of humor with people that I meet.
I am hoping to continue to grow my social media platforms including Youtube and TikTok with the hope of expanding my network, and sharing my creativity and love for life with the world.
ABOUT ME
I am an extremely happy person and I love to smile. Something that I want people to know is that I have Down Syndrome. I really enjoy getting to talk to people about my interests, hobbies and life experiences. A few of those things include coloring, singing and dancing. Traveling and experiencing new places is also very important to me. I like to share all of these experiences and hobbies with the world through my social media platforms as well. One of my future goals is to live independently in my first apartment.

EDUCATION HISTORY

Worked in the Perkiomen Valley High School Coffee Cart program. Was responsible for ensuring coffee quality was met, inventory was stocked and customer service was well delivered.

Participated in Viking Buddy program at Perkiomen Valley High School. Attended events, contributed to fundraisers and advocated for the program

Graduated Perkiomen Valley High School in 2023.
VOLUNTEER/WORK HISTORY

Started and manages her own YouTube and TikTok account.

STRATEGIES FOR SUCCESS
- I am a visual learner. I like to see pictures or videos to understand things.
- I like to listen to music while I work on tasks.
- It helps me to have some time to process and think before responding to questions.
- I enjoy regular check-ins to help me monitor progress.
- I benefit from demonstrations at first, but then I enjoy the ability to try things independently
- I like to share how I am feeling and what I am thinking, it is helpful to have defined place or time to share thoughts.
INTERESTS
